Introduction

EBAY

I have been repairing and restoring guitars for about 4 years now. I started selling guitars, and still sell the majority of my guitars, on EBAY. As you can see on my EBAY profile, I have a 100% positive feedback score.

Testimonials

What you see below is what I call testimonials. Ebay requires buyers to give feedback. The testimonials listed below are just a few of the personal reactions I received spontaneously from previous buyers. I hope they give you an impression of me as a guitar seller and the quality of my restorations.

Bruno,

The Post Office did have my package, thanks for tracking it. Great job on the guitar, it's a fine-looking instrument. It has a really excellent sound for being such a small guitar!

Thanks again for a good deal and for the communication.

Take Care

Ian

Dear Bruno,

The Teller is the best guitar I have ever played. I have a Ryoki Matsuoka, an Antonio Ariza Flamenco & a Gracia Madrid. I am going to sell the Matsuoka, the Ariza & possibly the Gracia but I will never sell the Teller. If you come across a really special one, let me know. I will take it. I only want 2 guitars, one in normal tuning & one in altered Tarrega tuning to play Tango & Capricho de Aribe. I am a Tarrega fanatic & Recuerdo De La Alhambra sounds sensational with the Teller.

Regards

Steve

I received my Aria from you last night when I got home for work. It's about 9:30am while I'm writing this, and I've already played it for at least 4 hours.
You did a great job. It has great tone and the action is just what I needed. Its beautiful, and is now one of my prized possessions. Thanks for your fine work.
Now I am waiting for my Teller. I have heard from the former owner in California. We have chatted several times. Nice person, and thinks the world of you.
Happy weekend, I will let you know when the Teller comes in.
Thanks again!

Larry

The guitar arrived in perfect condition. I have showed it to several of my friends and they are very impressed. I thought my music teacher was going to keep it. He played it all through my lesson. The only thing I learned was that he loved my guitar. I am very happy with Oscar Teller and will do my part in showing it around.

I have been corresponding with Jan Hodgson. She really loved that guitar. To listen to her, I am surprised that she traded it even if it didn't fit her hand. She calls it a "her". I think that's amusing.

I really like the Aria also. That's a great little guitar also.

I will stay in touch with you. When you have special guitars coming up, let me know. If I am in the market, I will look at them seriously. You have been a gentleman and I have enjoyed our transactions. Have a good trip.

Hi Bruno
I picked up the guitars today....Beautifull!! The sound on both of them is astonishing...very easy to play...amazing sustain...I have been picking the "Idiots Guitar" like a Drunken Hillbilly! Sarah had a great day playing in the backyard. I didnt see any of the bank # information so if it is ok with you I will include US $300.00 cash with my 1960 Teller. Just let me know how much you need to fix her up for me. I will ship the guitar on the 18th of Augest with your money. I'm not sure how much import tax you pay but please just include it in your fee to fix up the Teller, or mail me back and I'll send it, if that is ok? Thank's very much Bruno!

Peter.

Dear Mr. Heithorn, I have been in correspondence with Mr. Bruunari about his restored Teller guitars. He has two Oscar Tellers on Ebay now. He gave me your email, and said that you wouldn't mind if I mailed you about your transactions with him. Can you tell me, please, about the restored instrument(s) that you purchased from him? I do not have a lot of money, and it looks as though I might be able to get a fine instrument from him for a very wonderful price. Do these instruments sound and play well? In your opinion, how close is the sound of the restored instrument to what the original might sound? How is the action on them? Do you think I would be better off getting a new, cheaper instrument, or are these Tellers worth buying after having been taken apart and restored? He has for sale a 411 and a 6/P. Would it be worth buying the more expensive instrument 6/P, or would the less expensive one be very good, also? Do you like Oscar Teller guitars? I can find very little information about them on the Net. Are they good for fingerstyle playing? I play classical, Brazilian and various eclectic types of fingerstyle playing. I am a good musician, but I don't have a lot of money to take a chance on buying some very expensive instrument (even if I could!). So, like Quixote, I am after the impossible dream... a fine guitar for little money. It's arrogant of me, but in life, sometimes luck and grace coincide. Anything you could tell me about your restored instruments, Mr. Bruunari, perhaps other good instruments he restores, and especially about the Oscar Tellers would make me in your debt. Thank you for your time. With appreciation, Steve Smith.

Buy the Top Teller 6P Steve. I cant tell you how much I wish it was mine! These guitars are magnificent. If I had the money it would no longer be for sale. They play very well but it is there sound that I think is truly remarkable. I have 3 Tellers two of which I purchased from Bruno. The 3rd one I have, inherited from an Uncle was refurbished by Bruno last summer. It was built by Oscar himself in 1960 and is one of my most prized possesions. He is a craftsman with unquestionable passion for Tellers. He is also a really nice guy. If you do buy the Teller keep it forever...or sell it to me when I have the money. Good Luck Steve and let me know what you decide. Regards, Peter.

Hi
I recieved the guitar this week, it sounds really nice. Thank you.
All the best Keith

Dear Bruno, the guitar arrived today! It survived its long trip. How do we like it? It's a very lush dark instrument with resonant bass and singing treble. My wife loves it, because fingerpicking a steel-stringed guitar (a Martin) is hard for her, your guitar comes alive in her hands. I have played it, and I love to play my Brazilian songs on it (primarily Baden Powell). The postman brought it this morning, and that put my day to a stop! Nothing got done except guitar and strings and things. The guitar has a lovely look to it. It has, in my opinion, a sound that is unique--not like most spanish classical guitars. To me, the sound is "orchestral" rather than percussive. Very warm, and you've set it up well. You did a great job setting up the action on it. It's easy to play all the way up the neck. So, like Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, we sit on our horses and ride into the sunset, strumming our guitars! .... Happy trails... to you... until... we meet... again!!! And we do hope to meet you some day.
.... I intend to take some photos of it in our hands. Even our siamese cat finds its sounds soothing!

much thanks, Steve and Becky

Beste Bruno,
Keep up the good work
Met vriendelijke groet,

José J. Cabrera y Charro

Beste Bruno,

Verder is alles top. Bedankt!

Vriendelijke groet,

Robert

Hi Bruno,

The guitar arrived in good order this time, it sounds great again. It doesn't like the heavy gauge we tend to use, but we will be kind with this one and string it with less tension than we use to.

This is a great offering. As you really know, I like this Otwin guitar so much. I'll ask Ainara about it.

We have four Otwins right now, The one you sold me, a '38 or '39 Deluxe (I have the original invoice and it was sold in Berlin in 12 february 1940 so it must be made earlier that that) it sounds so great. And also two Cabinets. One from the fifties, it sounds nice and rich acoustically but a bit thin, as an electric is a incredible guitar with an atonishing tone. The other one is older, I guess a '40s one nothing special acoustically, but plugged it comes to life. It sounds so bluesy. I'd really like to have this one as well.

What are the special features on this one? That special strut and the adjustable neck? You forgot to tell me about these things.

Maybe you are interested in a new forum about European Vintage Guitars. We are only a few members for now, but we have some fun there. I miss an Oskar Teller thread and some info about old european parlors, but I don't have the knowledge to do that. I know you have all that knowledge.

If you wish, join us here. We'll be glad to have you around.

By the way, I'm Snapcase at this forum.

All the best for you and your family,

Paco.

Hello Bruno!

Thank you for a fast answer!
I am not a collector, but a guitar player. I play in a lot of styles - but
not classic guitar.
I think now the guitar is to damaged to get in playing order. I hope I can
contact you later when I find a better old guitar which need to be repaired.

Best regards

Ingar

Dear Bruno,

I have given this guitar considerable thought during the past week. It is a very beautiful guitar and it sounds very nice. Watching the videos and hearing the guitar made the decision much more difficult. However, in talking with my husband and considering our family's guitar needs (I have 10 and 11 year old sons who have played classical guitar since they were very little ), we decided that we probably shouldn't buy this guitar for me at this time.

I have enjoyed learning more about your work and appreciate your willingness to accommodate my requests, and will continue to periodically see what you are offering on Ebay as well as visit your website. Perhaps when I can play as well as your son-in-law, I can purchase a Bruunari.

By the way, do you come across any 660 or 664 length scale guitars? My husband is also learning guitar and that is what his instructor thinks would work for him.

It has been a pleasure working with you on this possible purchase. Hopefully in the future I can buy a guitar from you.

Thank you,
Sheila Goins

Hello Bruno,
Sorry I have not corresponded yet. Yes I received
the Eko several weeks ago. It arrived in perfect
order. I feel it is a nice solid guitar for the money
and I have been enjoying it very much. Thank you for
your kind and helpful service. Neil

Hello Bruno'
Just love the guitar. It's exactly what I expected and it suits my uses for it, perfectly. The sustain is truly astounding,it seems to hang on forever.
You've done a really good job setting it up for me and the overall condition is remarkable considering it's age.
Top job Bruno and kind regards...Arnie

hr.Merks

Dear Bruno,
I am back at the 40 degree hot Antalya and I wanted to thank you and your wife for the hospitality you showed during my visit. I really appreciated it.
I played the guitar over the weekend and inspected it more carefully. I am very pleased. It is very easy to play, is well balanced, has a very solid feel, the sound is very good (I will try the "romantic guitar" strings by La Bella). It also has a zero fret which I had not noticed. Of course that is my mistake because you had described it on your website. Overall a very pleasant instrument, I am certainly very happy I bought it. Thank you again.
Meanwhile I examined the finish which you had said was a bit dull. Usually on my lacquer finished guitars I use a fine automotive wax (Sonax brand) and I tried it also on your guitar. I hope you are not alarmed, it does not damage the French polish, it just removes the "high" points on the finish which cause the dullness. I achieved a slightly more polished and brighter finish on the back, I believe a second application will be even better.
I am a subscriber to the classical guitar forum:
http://www.delcamp.net/forum/en/index.php
and I will write a post on this guitar. Praise it, of course. This is a very nice forum with a lot of sheet music, videos, the members are all intelligent people, no garbage here.

Good afternoon.
I am the one that purchase the "white" steel string last week. Just to let you know that I visited your web site and enjoyed it very much.
The other guitar that I purchased from you is number 57. In my last e'mail, I forgot the most memorable things about the guitar. The brown painted circles and the oak fret board. It is not a high end guitar, but it does have a very nice sound. You may use my name on who bought the guitar section. Have a good week, and I will continue to enjoy looking at your listings on eBay. Hoi Bruno,
Vr. groet,
Jet Lovink
