I'm more interested in finding out a bit about the history/age of it, maybe if you had seen one before if I sent some photo? Also what strings would you recommend for such a guitar. I fitted some cheap light steel strings and one snapped after a few weeks so I'd rather put some good strings on which I'd be happy to purchase from yourself. |

Values in money are difficult to say without pictures or even better having had the instrument in my hands. The maturety of guitars from the era and location if they are in good order with the wright new strings etc, etc do sell worldwide for +/- € 300. |

As I do not use a pickup in this guitar (yet -- I'm interested in your opinion here), I have opted for LaBella tapewound, and will use the Thomastik-Infeld's AB346's later once the pickup has been selected and installed (and when I'm hopefully better at fretless!). The sound is really great and it has a nice Dobro-like approach in playing it with a plectrum. The reactions in grabbing this guitar on stage are exiting. The first reaction is..."could this guy not pay for a new guitar"...and when I start to play it.....WOW !!! ...in playing Folk, as I am used to, this sound of this guitar is a nice addition. Thanks for the quality of the restoration! Just one thing...when I was at your "shop" the other day, I saw the Sangerfreud (nr 240) lying there in different parts and my first thought was..."this looks like a lost case"...and I saw the other day on your site what you have done with it. Ik vertelde je dat ik een Ramirez FL2 flamencogitaar in mijn bezit heb nu ongeveer speel ik er 8 jaar op maar ben gewoon op zoek naar die sprankelende felheid van de flamencogitaar. Was uit de toenmalige selectie de goedkoopste (de Boeing was helaas net verkocht) maar was direct mijn keuze. Een aansprekend karakter: stevig en toch warm rond het klankgat máár opvallend fel dicht bij de brug. Net wat ik zocht: klassiek met uitstapjes naar Flamenco. Ook mijn leraar is zeer tevreden over dit instrument. En na een jaar spelen is ie gewoon nog mooier....Kortom dik tevreden! Bedankt en veel plezier toegewenst bij alle restauraties. |
